Piedmont is the most traditional winemaking area of Italy and one of the oldest in Europe. Here wines are mostly obtained from autoctone grape varieties, the most important are: Barbera (with the denomination Nizza), Nebbiolo (with the denomination Barolo and Barbaresco), and Moscato. Piedmont's character springs from its many different and unique "terroir", a combination of soil, exposure, climate and experience of many generations of winemakers. To bring inside the bottle all these peculiarities and the feature of single varieties often the wines are bottled per single vineyard. Dani, La Quercia, Treponti are all vineyards from where grapes are selected to obtain our wines. Villa Giada piedmontese wines are incredibly food-friendly.
